Advantages of Hiring Apache Pools
Scale & Calcium

Calcium Buildup Around Your Pool

The best way to prevent calcium buildup on your pool’s tiles is by monitoring your pool water and through regular cleaning.

Test the hardness of the pool water to ensure that the calcium level stays between 200 and 400 ppm (parts per million). If it falls below 200 ppm, the water is considered soft and can become corrosive. Your pool’s metal components may become damaged, and concrete areas could dissolve. If the calcium levels are too high, the water in your pool is considered hard and can become cloudy, even after a shock treatment. This is when the buildup of sediment forms around the pool water line and inside the filter system.

Getting your in-ground swimming pool’s tiles professionally cleaned by Apache Pools will restore the vibrancy of your tiles. Our cleaning process will return your tiles to the color and appearance of when you first purchased them.
